Harvard International Night 2013 CRAZYBOOTH

March 26th, 2013

llmparty-3

I’ve been terrible about documenting my life at Harvard so far. My Nikon sits in the corner gathering dust as I languish away in the library. But during Harvard’s International Party I set up the CRAZYBOOTH and I must say – it’s by far the most fun I’ve had behind the lens in a very long time. There are over 80 countries represented at Harvard Law School, and everyone came out in full force. The venue was so packed that I only got to shoot a small fraction of the students (while others were busy dolling out every possible cuisine you could imagine) and we bhangra’ed/salsa’ed/shimmy and shook the night away.

Beijing Rotary Club CRAZYBOOTH!!

May 27th, 2010

I am seriously considering renaming this the EPIC BOOTH. Last Saturday, I shot at the Beijing Rotary Club’s 2010 Annual Charity Ball. I’m not sure who had more fun. The guests, or us photographers who shot the evening’s festivities. I had been discussing with EventPod founder, Joanna Riley about a unique approach to documenting events and this was chance to put my lens cap where my mouth is. Yup, none other than bringing the CRAZYBOOTH to one of Beijing’s biggest social events. No pressure.

I could not have possibly done this without all the other shooters from EventPod that night. We truly had a blast and brought the crazy to the party. It is one thing to suck up your courage and walk up to total strangers dressed to the nines and engage them in front of the lens, but another to get them to ham it up in front of all your photographic get-up. And BOY. You’ve never seen a party like this one. :)

LOVE their expressions. The gentleman on the left introduced himself as Krusty the Clown.

A little bit of Asian allure..

The sweetest couple ever. LOVE that dress.

Interact kids show us how to pose…. China style!!!!!

I love this girl. She kept coming back. I love people who love the camera.
