    Where are you *really* from?
At this point, I really have no idea anymore. To make things short, I say I’m originally from Hong Kong.

How many languages do you speak?
I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently, am proficient in Italian and can understand Shanghainese.

How is it you traveled so much as a student?
I get this one a lot, but truthfully.. if there’s a will there’s a way. I was really lucky to go to a university with a phenomenal study abroad program my freshman year, which sort of put the wheels in motion. I also traveled as part of the Dean’s Circle, on various volunteering trips and backpacking with my best friend. If you’re willing to save, do your research and travel on a budget there’s no reason you can’t go anywhere you want. And it usually leads to more adventures.

Is it true you skipped the border to Cuba?
    Yes.

Why do you keep visiting Communist countries?
I’m not really sure. I think this might be a coincidence. They also happen to be really interesting countries and off the beaten path.

    What’s “AT XX”?
AT 09 stands for “Awesome Trip ’09″ (I know, real creative name). My friend Melissa and I started traveling together since we met in college. In ’08 we were joined by my brother in Panama. We’ve since made it a pact to travel together every year for as long as we can. Like iron sharpening iron, Melissa is one of my biggest influences. Next year she’s heading to spend the semester in Tel Aviv while I’m Beijing. So right now, we’re not sure what’s going to happen, or where we’re going to be next..

    I heard you’re a ninja..
Um.. this is a nickname. Owing to the fact that I studied Northern Shaolin Kung fu and the Chinese straight sword. It just sorta stuck.. and is no way related to any death threats that may or may not have been made.. *cough*
